Biography of Virat Kohli Virat Kohli is an Indian cricketer and former captain of the Indian cricket team. He was born on November 5, 1988, in Delhi, India, to Prem Kohli and Saroj Kohli. His father was a criminal lawyer and mother is a homemaker. Kohli has an elder brother, Vikas Kohli, and an elder sister, Bhavna Kohli. Kohli's passion for cricket began at a young age. He started playing cricket at the age of three and joined the West Delhi Cricket Academy when he was nine.
